Happy Clinic provides private online psychiatry by video for adults aged 18 and over across the UK. These are the fees for general psychiatry appointments, which are used for depression.

What the fees include
Initial psychiatric assessment
A 60-minute video consultation with a consultant psychiatrist. It is a detailed assessment of your symptoms, history and current treatment, with treatment recommendations where appropriate. The treatment plan may include medication, advice on therapy options and follow-up appointments.
After the assessment, Happy Clinic sends a clinical summary to you and, with your consent, to your GP.
Follow-up appointments
A 20-minute review of your progress, including medication management where appropriate. How many follow-ups you need depends on your situation and treatment plan.
Repeat prescription requests
For existing Happy Clinic patients, a repeat prescription request costs £150 and is subject to clinical review.
What costs extra
- Pharmacy charges. Prescriptions issued in an initial assessment or follow-up are included in the appointment fee, but pharmacy dispensing charges are not. Private prescriptions are paid for at the pharmacy, and prices can vary between pharmacies.
- Additional appointments. Each follow-up is charged separately.

Is private care right for you?
Private psychiatry is one option, not the only one. Before paying, it is worth considering:
- whether you have spoken to your GP, who can discuss treatment and referral at no cost
- whether talking therapy is what you are looking for, which Happy Clinic does not provide
- what you want from a psychiatrist, such as a diagnosis review or medication advice
